D&B TransUnion ADC implements DBI Italian Score card
15 March 2009

D&B Transunion centre at Chennai has implemented a scoring platform developed and tuned for implementing the Italian Scorecard for the D&B Italy's business. The Scoring platform runs all the business rules pertaining to a D&B-Italy market over a pre defined Input Data Format of DUNS Records.

The scoring process has been implemented by the Scoring Engine as a set of easily configurable rules that are applied over the Duns records and the output, that contains various scores, the risk bands, comments, indicators other recommendations that are required by various solutions offered to the clientele, is sent out to the destined processes / solutions.

The Scoring Engine has been developed based on the J2EE architecture.

Some of the key highlights of the product include:
  • Roughly 400 Core Rules were added in the platform covering failure score, delinquency and credit max recommendation.
  • Close to 100 Rules were added to do input and output transformation so that data between mainframe and java based systems are made interoperable.
  • Roughly 2 million records were processed in flat files within 4 hours in a basic server which has dual core CPU with just 4 GB RAM.
